I currently live in a suburb of Seattle that reminds me of San Clemente in many ways. It's a small town that was invaded by a master planned community with a huge build out during the boom and suffers from a lot of animosity between the old town and the new. Now I am in the new part and cherish the people and charm of the old town, but we are suffering now as our new school is overcrowded and kids that are bussed all over town. I don't want to face these struggles again and would like to hear from folks living in San Clemente on this issue.

As always, thanks so much for the feedback!

Are you relocating from the Seattle suburb to San Clemente?

There have been several threads and posts in the Orange County forum (I know, I wrote some of them), addressing teacher reductions, over crowded classrooms, transportation reductions, after school amenities/clubs/extracurricular activities suspended, school closures, and other budget related issues. Use the search tool and search for "Capistrano" or "Saddleback". Also search the OC Register newspaper - lots of good information there.

Coincidentally today:
