If you are a fan of the 1985 classic movie "The Goonies" (who isn't?) then you can see many of the filming locations in and around Astoria:

The Walsh house (aka The Goonies house): 368 38th St, Astoria, OR 97103

Data's House - 304 38th Street, Astoria, OR 97103

Clatsop County Jail - 732 Duane Street at 9th Street (two blocks towards the river), Astoria, OR 97103

Mouth's House - Top of the hill Skyline Avenue and Valley Street, Astoria, OR 97103

Stop and Snack Store - 37th Street and Highway 30, Astoria, OR 97103

Lighthouse Lounge –Fratelli's Hideout: “Ecola State Park” Indian Beach

Of course, keep in mind that the houses are private residences.

I'm not sure but I think the owner of the "Goonies House" will give you an inside tour for a small donation.

+1 on the Maritime Museum.
Also, Washington Hwy. 4 across the river is a nice drive, and you can take a small ferry to get back to the Oregon side, if you like.

I happened to drive through Astoria this week. I didn't see any salmon for sale, but there was tons of Tuna - especially across the bridge in Illwalco.
