Does Corvallis have any Urban-style living. For example, we're looking for a loft style apartment...maybe a little bit industrial...exposed brick, etc.

Or is that waaaaay too specific for the Corvallis area?

That's probably too urban for anything outside of Portland's west side. You might find it elsewhere, but it would be an affectation of an urban look, not the real thing. The great thing about Corvallis is that detached single family residences with actual yard space is readily available at a modest cost. I'm guessing that there might be some commercial buildings with living space above in the downtown area (Corvallis is really into that mixed land use approach), but I'm not sure if it would meet your expectations.

Remember that you're talking about a town of 50,000 people...

You may be able to find something in an older building in the downtown core.

Those units are like the ones in Salem though. They tend to get rented word of mouth because there aren't a lot of them.

There's not much. There are a few apartments downtown, but good luck getting one (unless you happen to be old and/or disabled), and they're not likely to be what you're looking for.

Since when? I haven't found that to be the case at all in Corvallis. If anything, there's open hostility to it.
