Hello,

I'll be driving up the coast from Crescent City, CA to Newport, OR and then cutting inland to go to get on I5 and go to Portland.

From trip advisor and an oregon travel website i have found the following

up the coast

- CAPE PERPETUA - Siuslaw National Forest visitors center
- Bandon Fish Market - 249 1st Street, Brandon, OR
- Mo’s famous seafood restaurant - 622 Bay Boulevard, Newport, OR

Portland
- Stepping stone café (Man vs food)

What im looking for is just some good local input on some hidden gems on the way up or a must do they may be out the way. Any advice is a great help.

One place worth stopping and looking around is Depoe Bay..Its just neat place to see and the whale watching station is fun too.
Have a good trip.

The Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport is a good place to visit.

Nesbittaudia4, do you have kids? That could make a difference in the advice you get.

Regardless, I second the above about Depoe Bay and the Aquarium. I would also consider a stop at the Sea Lion Cave.

While in Bandon check out some of the other little shops in the Old Town area. There is a really neat little candy store whose name eludes me. Also the beaches around there are wonderful. My favorite is at the Bandon Ocean Wayside, but Bullards Beach and Bandon State Park are nice as well.

And definitely don't miss Heceta Head near Florence.
