I am relocating to Oregon at the end of August. I will be going to college there as well as raising a family. I was wondering out of these areas which one has the most jobs? Eugene, Roseburg, Bend, Medford, and any that you may know of.

Thank you for answering these specific questions

Of the cities you mentioned the order from most to least jobs would be Eugene, Medford, Bend and Roseburg, primarily based on city size. The order from lowest to highest unemployment rate is the exact same order. Jobs actually available right now is harder to get a firm total count on but probably shows the same order. You can get some sense of it by looking at the number of jobs listed at one or more major job web site.

The Portland metro has by far the most jobs (6 times as many as second place), followed by Salem and Eugene, then a drop to Medford and Bend and then a drop to Corvallis.

Corvallis has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state and the lowest of the major metros. Hood River, Pendleton, The Dalles, Ontario and Astoria have been better than the state average on this recently.

Eugene, Bend, Roseburg and Medford are all hit by the housing market in that wood products manufacturers were substantial employers. There are/were motor-coach builders along I-5 between Coburg (just north of Eugene) to Medford that are similarly impacted.

Employment opportunities are skill specific. I would expect an RN or Pharmacist to be able to find employment with ease, for example. If you are a student at UofO or OSU the student financial aid office may have campus jobs or internships available.
