Robert Melvin Walker was booked into the Coos County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and attempted murder in connection with the shooting feud over marijuana.

Old story. He was forced to resign in July of 2012 while he is investigated for "wrongdoing."

Subject: Curry county police reports

Possession of drugs, 3:34 p.m.: A man in police station lobby, who was disoriented and confused, was transported to the hospital for evaluation and later cited for possession of drugs.

Disorderly conduct, 4:37 a.m.: Police received a call of a vehicle in the parking lot at KidTown driving in circles around a person who was standing in the middle of the lot. The vehicle left scene before officer could make contact; however, the vehicle was later located at Hassett Street and Old County Road and the driver warned for disorderly conduct.

Jan. 12, 6:11 p.m., woman holding puppy, screaming at passerby that she wants a ride to the 'nuthouse," North Lake Street and Eighth Street.

Suspicious conditions, 1:18 p.m.: A young man walking down the street carrying a samurai sword was contacted by police at Fifth Street and Ransom Avenue. It was not concealed so no crime was committed.

Suspicious conditions, 3:09 p.m.: A caller advised her street has been too quiet lately and believes illegal activity may be occurring. Assistance was rendered to the Spruce Drive resident.

Civil problem, 4:47 p.m.: Neighbors were disturbing each other’s peace in the 600 block of Fifth Street.

Intoxicated subject, 4:29 a.m.: An intoxicated man came into the Brookings Police Department lobby and requested to sleep in a “drunk tank.”


Report of possible burglary: officers made contact and found that family member had opened
window to let cat in. This was unfounded as a burglary.

5:40 p.m. smell of rotten eggs in the 1100 block of Jackson Avenue Southwest. No propane or natural gas at location, caller believes it is raw sewage. Caller advised to contact landlord in morning.


2:56 p.m., woman reported loud drum music coming from neighbor’s residence in the 600 block of Seaview Court, ongoing problem. Unable to make contact with resident, music too loud for suspect to hear door. Will try later.


7:33 p.m., caller said it sounds like a woman screaming in woods behind property in the 700 block of Ninth Street Southeast. Cited Eric H. Ferrer, 20, of Myrtle Point, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than one ounce. Glass pipe seized.

(Portland) 10:30 a.m.: East Precinct officers were leaving the Multnomah County Courthouse when a woman, 39-year-old Angela Hallinger, threw a paintbrush at the officers because they would not stop and look at her art. The paintbrush hit one of the officer's pants and left paint on them. The subject then picked up the paintbrush and threw it again at them, just missing their heads. Officers were told that a Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney had reported that a woman was flashing her breasts at people. It was determined that it had been Hallinger, and she was arrested and booked in the Multnomah County Detention Center for Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.

Assist public, 4:44 a.m.: An officer arrived in the 700 block of Fourth Street and found a herd of deer around a vehicle, one with its head inside the back hatch. When the officer got out of his vehicle, the deer scattered. The hatch was closed.

[SIZE=3]1:23 p.m., man called requesting the U.S. Coast Guard for a boat that is hitting against the rocks on the North Jetty. Caller transferred to Coast Guard. Subjects able to get out of the water on North Jetty. Boat floated out to sea.[/SIZE]

NORTH BEND, Ore. -- North Bend police say a 45-year-old woman called 9-1-1 on herself after an early morning break-in ended up with her being locked in.

Delacruz and Gutierrez were involved in a physical altercation at the St. Joseph Church soup kitchen. Delacruz smashed a porcelain plate over the back of Gutierrez' head and then Gutierrez chased Delacruz down the street, punching him. Both subjects were arrested without incident and lodged at Corrections on the listed charges.

BROOKINGS, Ore. - A man stole a taxi at knifepoint and led police on a chase before crashing into a landslide blocking a rural road, police said.



Animal complaint, 10:49 a.m.: A small dog was attacked by a large cat in the 500 block of Railroad Street. The cat owner was advised of a city ordinance.

Indecent exposure
According to an entry on the Coos Co. Sheriff's log for Friday, Sept. 14, 3:40 p.m., East Shore Road, North Bend, "neighbor collecting mail and walking around neighborhood naked."

And then, these people went looking for mushrooms in Curry County, got lost and considered eating their dog. This thread is about crime and drugs, but maybe they were looking for 'those' kinds of mushrooms. Sounds like it
