Home | Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering | Oregon State University

But OSU is on the quarter system, so maybe that's not what you want.

I don't know if you have access to American RadioWorks podcasts but they had an interesting discussion of higher ed and Internet learning last night on KQED. Stanford, MIT, and other leading universities now offer classes on line for free. They discussed Western Governors University which is accredited but maybe not in your major. http://www.wgu.edu/online_it_degrees/programs

I think both Linfield and Reed are on the semester system. Reed and MIT have a sister campus relationship in engineering, so your degree would actually be from MIT, or at least that's the way it was 40 years ago. Check it out.

State schools are all on the quarter system.

I found only two universities in Oregon state that offers MS in Mechanical Engineering BUT all of them in quarter system!

These universities are OSU and PSU, in addition of UP but its offer MEng. (Master of Engineering) instead of MS (Master of Science)!

And one of my friends told me that in Oregon state you can't find
(or hard to find) any university in semester system because that is the system of the state!! Is that right?!

I don't think the semester system is common in most places these days.
