Your caps key, and all your punctuation keys, seem to be non functioning. It makes your post very hard to read. Maybe you could fix it and try again.

I live in Baker City.

Because I have no personal experience doing so, I don't know what it is like to work at the hospital. I know that most people, me included, are satisfied with the care they get – including at the emergency room.

I don't hunt, but many, many people here do. In fact, many people from afar come to this part of Oregon to hunt.

As far as game birds, if you click here and scroll down to the upland game bird distribution maps:
http://www.dfw.state.or.us/resources...uplandbird.pdf
you will find that there are many in the area.

Don't know anything about quilting.

I would imagine working at the hospital there would be pretty much the same as working at any hospital. You would probably need to check out as to whether or not they are hiring before making a move. It is a small town and a small hospital so employment opportunities may be limited.

My girlfriend lives in Baker City and loves it. I've visited, and Baker is a great small town with a good sense of community. I'm not a small town person, but if I were, I'd live there.

It has been years since I have been in Joseph but a former collogue lives in Baker City and is happy with her choice. That said, there isn't much for teens to do in either place.

My husband and I are considering Baker City as a place to retire. Is this a place that is senior friendly?

It's hard to answer this question. It would help if you would say what you mean by“senior friendly”? It's not the same for all people.

I am a retired senior living in Baker City. It's a beautiful area.

There is a busy senior center. My neighbor took me there when I first retired. It seemed very nice but I never went back because I am a “happy loner” type person. I manage to keep busy by myself.

The local hospital is part of a larger system based in Boise. https://www.saintalphonsus.org/about-us-825

I find it to be more than adequate. Specialists come to Baker City periodically. For major problems such as specialized surgeries you go to Boise. There is a Life Flight helicopter for extreme emergencies.

I might be able to answer more specific questions.
