I have been semi-retired for a couple years but have been working PTime for 8yrs (and earning health-care benefits/401k through my employment). I am over 62. When my health wouldn't let me work enough hours to live on, I was forced into this "semi-retirement" and applied for my PERS to help supliment my low income. The PERS was accumulated when I worked for the state (Oregon) for several years in my past. Now I am facing a situation where I may need to apply for Unemployment. I won't know for another week but it would sure help me sleep at night if I knew the answer to this question:
Will collecting this very modest retirement interfere with my receiving unemployment if I am otherwise entitled to it. Again, I am over 62 and my PERS is under $600 pr month.

It counts against your weekly income. If your unemployment is more than your PERS, you will still have a claim. I think you can earn up to 1/3 of your claim with no penalty, then your claim reduces dollar for dollar. You can just ask them to get the official version.

Think you have to be employed FT to receive UE benefits, double check with the state website.
