For those planning to travel to Oregon next weekend, expect snow above 2000 ft. That means I-5 over the Siskiyous and all of the Cascade passes will see snow. The Columbia Gorge is a toss-up, but there will probably be some white stuff on the east end of the Gorge. Just about all of Central and Eastern Oregon will see snow.

My wife and I are getting the winter tires put on our vehicles today. It's time. It's hard to think about that when the weather is sunny and 50 degrees, but it's coming.

The first front should be through on Thursday, November 8, and the cold precipitation should last at least 4 days.
