Are the surrounding Willamette areas as bad as far as mega loud boom car stereos and pipes here in Corvallis? Here two days and ready to run for the hills!

Why, no. Corvallis is the only town in the whole of Oregon, not just the Willamette Valley, where car stereos and pipes are allowed.

Probably want to steer clear of a university town if that bothers you.

I can tell you when we lived here in Corvalis twenty years ago it was not that noisy, were here temporarily anyway, but i can tell you if the city lets this continue it will just worse, the PD has put out an advisory, but it's ignored, it's the same everywhere, sane in Albany too. Yes your right FL is the same way with the gator nation, what is it with college kids needing to pump bass all over the place? Nevertheless, it's not just a nuisance it is an issue of public safety, In Norman OK, the worst loud car stereo college town in the U.S. in fact the President of the college encouraged and condoned the bass cars, a young girl died in an ambulance due to morons who would not yield to the siren because they could not hear it, something to seriously think about the next time you hear a booming car stereo or siren for that matter.

As a realtor and as perspective buyer where is the problem the least an issue, since as I stated we were treated to it Albany as well, Medford as well.
Lewisberg? Anywhere rural? In FL rural it was awful!
Thanks

Well I don't live in every city, so I can't say which cities have issues or not. I just know that university towns are worse due to tailgates and such.

I've never had that problem except for a few occasions on Lancaster in Salem. I've never had that issue in Keizer or Silverton either while showing properties, but I don't live in Silverton so I can't say what it is like at night. I can't imagine the city would put up with it there.

I was in Corvalllis in 2005 for a whole weekend and didn't hear anything louder than a weed-eater the whole time. I was willing to give you the benfit of the doubt though, a lot could happen in eight years. Until I read through your post history... Your credibility is shot down in flames NL. I'm serious, what's really going on here?

I lived in Corvallis from 2003 to 2009. It is a great place to live. I never noticed a problem with cars that had loud stereos. Maybe one in awhile if someone was trying to act "cool" around campus. Most loud stereos usually emanated from frat houses.

I too left in '09. Never noticed loud stereos unless I was near campus.
