My folks recently moved, and wonder if there's anyplace in the Astoria area that sells flocked Christmas trees.

Flocked trees aren't usually easy to find. But we have our fingers crossed that there's someplace where they can find a nice flocked Noble in Astoria or at least not too far away.

Suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Thanks so much!

cheers ~
Denise

Hey now I've had live Christmas trees in the past and managed to live just fine through it. It's probably not a bad idea to rinse or brush off the tree before bringing it inside. Most bugs will go dormint during the winter months. The tree will only be inside for less than a month anyway.

There's nothing like the smell of a live Christmas tree, and we sell lots of them in Oregon.I like the Christmas season. Oh yes, quanta many people just buy a can of flocking to spray on the tree. Sometimes you will see flocked trees one place or another. It's going to be hard to pin down a place where such trees will be for sale. Just shop early for your tree.

A live tree won't work for us as it isn't large enough and we've nowhere to plant it afterwards.

And, we like the look of a flocked tree, as the lights and ornaments stand out so beautifully against the white.

But thanks for the suggestion!

best,
Denise

No, not really.

A commercially flocked Christmas tree is of a much higher quality than a do-it-yourself job. The commercial flocking is much heavier, looks better, and you don't have the problem of the flocking sticking to the ornaments. There is really no comparison.

Plus, doing it yourself is very messy.

But thanks for your thoughts.

Doesn't anyone know any Christmas tree lots or nurseries that regularly sell flocked trees (preferably Nobles)?

They are hard to find, and we are new to the area and could really use a suggestion or two!

Thanks!
Denise

Does Costco get in on the tree selling?

I remember the one south of Astoria; north of Seaside.

Don't recall whether they sell trees, or allow vendors.
