Anyone know anything about the schools in Toledo? I read a comment on here about them possibly not being that great. I also read that Oregon schools, in general, are very under-funded, but is Toledo worse than average Oregon schooling? We are new to the Newport/Toledo/Waldport area and trying to decide where to live.

The schools in Toledo are shrinking. The 'high school' was recently consolidated into a grades 7-12 facility (it used to be 9-12 until declining enrollment forced the closure of other Toledo schools).

I think the Toledo schools are just as good as Newport or Waldport schools. I have four kids and they all go to Toledo. I do not like the fact that they have shut down two of the the four schools here. But I think that they are doing just as good of job or better.
