Hi,

New to Corvallis! I've found some seasonal work here that ended quite quickly. Just signed up for Oregon Worksource. Anyone have any good avenues for searching outside of Craigslist and OSU job postings?

I am looking for any type of work at this point! I recently applied for the Coop I'm a part of and a few other things.

Thanks for your time!

hi there,
Did you start looking for work in Corvallis before you moved there or once you got there?? just curious as I might be in your shoes this summer (planing to move early July 2014). I feel that I should start looking soon but then again, what are the chances anyone will respond to an out-of-state applicant?..

With the students taking most of the entry level, low pay and servitude jobs, don't expect much. Higher end jobs like HP often hire out of area though.

Perhaps a dumb question: by "higher jobs" do you mean very specialized jobs? Like software-master-specialist this and that kind of thing?? I am in general office/administrative industry with a very long stable job history and what i'd like to think great references.. I've been looking at OSU classified postings but not sure are they going to consider out of stater? Apply anyway? Wait till I am in the area?...
That winning lottery ticket sure would be nice anytime now...
