Its very kind of you to provide unsolicited advice however my inquire was directed to coneyisbabe
("take the time to check out Rogue River and my place is for sale ") She stated that she wanted to sell a house. I'm looking for a house.

I am a stay at home mom and have lived in the area for 15 years. The drug/crime problem here is disturbing. To me, there are more and more areas and parks I don't feel safe going to (Yet there are still some that I totally do). I love jacksonville, such a cute downtown. Gold Hill I don't know too much about-only that its small.

The cartel problem is more prevalent here because Medford is right over the CA boarder and right off I-5. Its a major stop off for gangs and drugs traveling up from mexico. The homeless/high on drugs seem to be in more and more areas then every. There are some shopping centers I no longer go to. I have never been bothered by one (some can be a little pushy in areas) but I don't want to have to walk around and avoid all the high homeless while walking with my young kids to the grocery store.

Thank you Califoregon...I really appreciate your honesty. I would be a stay at home also so being able to get out with young kids would be very important to me.

It is also against the Forum rules to sell a house on the forum.

Default Southern Oregon Small Towns

Gold Hill is a very small town. People are friendly. There is a nice trail which follows along the Rogue river out of Gold Hill. Only three restaurants. Summer river rafting there.

Jacksonville is larger with some interesting shops and restaurants. One big attraction is the Britt Festival with outdoor summer evening concerts. Lots of summer tourists and activities.

In either town, you would likely drive into Medford or Grants Pass for your shopping, etc.

There are a few survivalist and a couple of less extreme preppers that I know who live in Gold Hill and they love it.

Hello,
We are making a move to Southern Oregon from Arizona this summer. What suggestions do you have for the Talent, Phoenix, or Medford areas? We were focusing on Ashland, but since we have a dog, it is very challenging to find a rental in that area. Thank you so much
