Does this mean that the plumbing in OR is not buried but is exposed to the air?

I thought you lived in Coos Bay? But in answer to your question, no, they're not all buried.

I'm sort of neutral on the frozen "E" but I love Gladys Knight! I did hear through the grapevine that some of my neighbors had some issues. I was just glad I made it through the night.

No, no. I'm on the east coast now but I'm considering moving to OR after I retire in a couple of years. I've visited Coos Bay a few times and have visited all but the southeastern portion of OR but except for a summer in Corvallis long ago, I've never lived there.

I'm amazed the building codes don't require them to be buried. OR has always had freezing weather except right on the coast.

It was the pipe coming out of the ground from the well, there's really no way to bury it because there is a valve there. Also, it was inside a metal shed which didn't help.....lol

Building codes vary from county to county in Oregon, I'm not sure what the codes are for stick built homes, but there are also a lot of mobile/modular homes dotting the countryside that would have no way to bury their pipes.

(Just Lookin, I'm sorry if what I posted upset you. I thought your initial posting was a cute post. I do not mean to be insensitive to your problem. I, for one, am hoping that Springtime arrives soon. Happy New Year.)

Aw, come on now. Nico was just kidding with you. I don't know of anybody who doesn't like Nico!!! She wasn't "judging you" just because she made a comment about a frozen E. I don't see where you got a judgment call out of her post. Tis the season to lighten up and have a little fun!!!
