Early November should be pretty good. It is probably peaking now, but colors may hold on for a bit longer. Great time to be there, but it can get wet. Have a great trip!

The Ashland area has been cloudy, cool, and wet the past 10 days, but after the l-o-n-g hot summer, it feels pretty darn good! Still lots of colorful ( mostly yellows ) leaves on the hardwood trees.

i was just there yesterday, and it was my first trip. i'm from san francisco (for perspective, we just don't get "seasons" in san francisco.) my impression was that it is sort of a sleepy but quite wealthy town. it reminds me of some small towns in the north georgia mountains that rely on tourism. the leaves right now are amazing, and from the highway it basically left me gasping at how gorgeous it was when i first saw it. it was not nearly as rainy as eugene when we went through, but apparently it does rain quite a bit there! think vibrant sunlight with very cool weather.

@gratuitousviolins.....The annual precipitation around Ashland is 19 inches annually, compared to 40+ inches in Georgia. The climate is MUCH drier than Georgia.
