So, for the past while I've been looking for a place to live. Last weekend I talked with someone who is moving out of a house (that has three other roommates) and is looking for someone to replace him when he moves out this weekend. We talked some more and I decided I'd be interested in being his replacement, and then I stopped by the house and he implied that I'd be moving in this weekend right after he moves out and that it was a for-sure thing, and that he'd send me the tenant application in my email. So, fast forward 4 days to now, and he hasn't replied any of my texts nor has he responded to my email since then. I was planning on moving in there this weekend, as he said.
