I have a question about where to apply for a nursing job somewhere on the Oregon coast. Lived most of my life in California and looking for a new adventure! Im a L/D Nurse, mother-baby and nursery nurse with tons and tons of experience. Any suggestions where I should start applying? Thanks everyone.

The largest towns on the coast are Coos Bay, Newport, and Astoria, so those would be the places to start. I like Newport and Astoria; have never been to Coos Bay. None of them is very big - maybe 25,000 residents, with a lot of tourists in summer. People with serious medical issues tend to go inland to the Willamette Valley - Portland, Eugene & vicinity.

I answered this on another thread a minute ago. I'm not sure if it was you? Sorry, not paying attention LOL.

Anyway, check out Crescent City, CA (just across the OR border into CA):

I've also been hearing about a new L/D clinic in Brookings, OR on the radio, but can't find the info on Google right now. Maybe you will have better luck.

The weather here in far north CA is like OR. In fact it's a little cooler here than in Brookings. Some people live on one side of the border and work on the other side.
