A man i know bought a used RV which had been cared for, at a really fair price, rented a space in a park, by Winston, along the Umpqua River (pretty good fishin'). He was happy there.
Many parks will not allow older RVs. When they break down they end up abandoned and the park has to pay to get rid of it. You can't just shove them in a landfill any more. They have to be abated for asbestos and dismantled. Getting rid of an old RV can be an expensive process.

Great idea, I would love to live like that. Buying an RV isn't in the cards right now financially but you never know! Thanks for the info

You will have a difficult time affording rent in Oregon with just a disability check. I don't know about subsidized senior housing, but if there is some in Roseburg, there is very likely a multiple years long waiting list. As for better quality subsidized housing, you get what you get and don't get to pick and choose. You'll be lucky to get any subsidized housing at all, let alone limit your choices to "better quality".

If you can locate subsidized senior housing, get on the waiting list well before you plan to move.

Yes, I was planning on a long waiting list. It usually does takes years, but if you look around and do your research ahead of time - which is why I posted here - there are good places that are worth waiting for. That's why I am looking now. A 5-year wait list would work perfectly for me. I worked in federal public housing for many years, and I am in a senior subsidized building now. I know the choices are limited if you need a place quickly, but I have plenty of time. Thanks for your info and replies!

Friends bought a brand new 27' trailer (bumper tow), towed it down to Arizona last winter and found out there are a lot of parks that only allow 5th wheels and big motorhomes and that a lot of the parks also require the trailers/RVs to be less than 5-10 years old.
