This is how the locals here spend New Year’s Day. For those who believe that the sun never shines on the coast in the winter, note the clear blue sky. This is the second day in a row, with not a cloud in the sky.

Today i went into Grants Pass to get some vittles & other goods. It was a perfectly clear, sunny day. The Sun felt real good on my face........It was clear & sunny here in the mountains northwest of Grants Pass, also...

It was nice here too, but it froze hard last night and the hoarfrost didn't melt where the sun didn't hit. I spent quite a bit of time outdoors. Didn't take my pants off, though. ;>

Our green onions sitting in the kitchen window that catches full sun, grew almost a foot in the last couple of days. Sun = Good
