I am moving to Southern Oregon in the spring. Either Ashland or Klamath Falls. I am a big radio fan and want to start listening online to some local stations before I move. I don't really care much for national shows like Bob and Tom. I prefer rock...although I dial around and listen to everything. What are the best stations in the area? Any good shows to listen to? I've heard small town radio can be pretty bad...but I'm hoping there's something good to listen to on the dial.

If you want to get a feel for what is going on in the community, I would suggest listening to the local public radio station JPR Listeners Guild - HOME. You might find it boring, based on your original post, but you will no doubt be given a glimpse into what the communities in the area are like.

JPR is good for about 40% of the views in So. Oregon. The other 60% see it as heavily liberal, tree hugger, no growth.
That said, it is entertaining and I listen from time to time, to see how my life may be affected.

Default radio

Hi there,

I'm afraid we got Sirius. I don't know if it's changed in the last year or 2 since I left, but the public radio station was the only channel I listened to other than Sirius.
