So I was looking at this map which shows the most popular langauge in each state besides English and Spanish. Language map: What’s the most popular language in your state?

I was surprised to see Oregon as the only state listed as Russian. I knew there where some Russians in Oregon. However I wasn't aware it was enough to make it the 3rd most commonly spoken language.

This shows Chinese, Vietnamese, and Russian, in that order, after English and Spanish.

At one point, there were a lot of Russian farm families around the Woodburn area. I don't know if they are still there.

There are tens of thousands of "Russians" in Oregon but the most of the younger generation are indistinguishable from other white Americans, except for a higher than average church attendance rate.
