On the way back to Baker City from the coast, I stopped by the John Day Fossil Beds and took photographs for some 360 interactive panoramas. You have seen many pictures of these two features before, but probably none like these.

You can move around the panoramas to see everything and zoom in and out just as if you were standing there.

Because the Painted Hills is a National Park Service National Monument, I couldn't use my drone (they aren't allowed). I set up a still camera on a tripod at the overlook and took the 36 pictures which created the panorama.

Sheep Rock I photographed from the road so I could use my drone which made it easier.

Tamarack (a.k.a. larch) trees, deciduous conifers, turning golden yellow in the fall. It's cloudy, so the colors aren't as vivid as they are on a sunny day: https://kuula.co/post/7Y4Vl

From my annual October drive into the close by Elkhorn Mountains to see the fall colors.

Newcomers sometimes mistakenly think the trees are dying, but they lose their needles in the fall and grow them back in the spring.

Cook's Chasm at Cape Perpetua on the Oregon Coast. A dramatic, volcanic, rocky wonder with a constant exhibition of waterspouts and exploding waves.
