I am a 100% disabled female Vietnam veteran and I just bought this property and I am moving on to it on November 1. I have a 550 gallon water tank and a 700 gallon biogasser unit I need to have filled with water so I have water to drink, for bathing and cooking. Also water for my human waste. Who delivers water in my area? And how much do they charge? I need delivery the first full week of November before it snows.

You bought a lot without water and didn't look into water deliveries and how much it costs?

Ask your neighbors?

Water delivery companies advertise on Craigslist sometimes and almost all of them advertise in the nickel ads. They should have an internet listing.

Keep your eyes open for water trucks making deliveries in your area and get their phone number off of the truck.

Call your local fire station (probably a volunteer station) and ask for the names of people who do water deliveries. Often, the water trucks fill up at the local fire station, or maybe at whatever irrigation district office is closest to you.

Delivery trucks must be licensed so if you still cant find anyone to deliver water, call the water master and see if he is keeping a list.

Let me tell you a little about where you're moving, it's very remote there are no public services and the winters are hard, roads are not plowed, you'll need a good 4X4 not a city SUV. There is no power and cell service can be spotty. I know a few families that live up there, and their good people but they may not be able or reliable to offer you assistance. You will probably have to do allot for yourself. You'll need allot of firewood and some people will sell you some, not sure who is selling it or what they are asking per chord $100 maybe more. There is no Fire Station, the closest is in Bly and you are 30+ miles outside their protection area. I don't know why you would try to move there just before winter and it's probably not a good fit for a disabled person on their own. Take this advice seriously.

What about the Bonanza Rural Fire Protection District, which is only about 10 miles away from Klamath Falls Forest Estates?

Wrong Forest Estates, Bonanza is about 60 miles away, Bly is closer. She said Sycan, there are several Forest Estates, not just Bly Mtn KFFE. Look on Google Earth there isn't much development out there. The Sycan KFFE is about half way between Bly and Silver Lake the main road is forest road 27 and it isn't maintained in the winter, unless locals do it or there is an active timber sale. From my understanding Fire Departments don't give out water. Her best bet for water is get a contract with a local resident, but many don't want the hassle of giving out water.

Howdy Risingfawn,
If you can't find anyone to deliver water to you, folks put a water storage tank in the bed of their 4x4 pickup, or put the storage tank on a utility trailer. Other folks/neighbors should be able to tell you where you can buy water. Or find out in the nearest town.
Best of luck to you.
I served in Vietnam 1965-1967. I get my medical needs at Roseburg VA Hospital.

I have looked on Google Earth. But I still don't understand your geography. The distance between Bonanza and Bly is only 34 miles. So between Bly and Silver Lake, and 60 miles from Bonanza would be very near to Summer Lake, which is not even in Klamath County. From what I can tell Klamath Falls Forest Estates is the area around the Klamath Falls Lakeview Forest State Park. Hence the name, Klamath Falls Forest Estates. Regardless I'm pretty sure Sycan KFFE would be in Klamath County, not Lake County.

No it isn't, that must be straight line miles, not by road Hwy 140. That's the problem with those computer programs, they get people in trouble. Don't rely those things use a real map and follow the roads. Yes the Sycan KFFE is in Klamath County but that has nothing to do with what I said. I lived out there for over 44 years, I drove almost every road out there for my job as well as for personal business. I'm pretty much an expert on the area, and I know allot of people who live out there. Don't miss lead the OP with bad information.

I'm not trying to mislead anyone. I'm trying to understand your geography. You are the one who told me to use Google Earth, and I am going by Highway 140, and then north towards Silver Lake. The 60 mile mark is in Lake County, near Summer Lake. Are you aware that Klamath County is L shaped, not square? Paper map or e-map, it doesn't matter. The halfway point between Bly and Silver Lake is in Lake County.

Though I think I'm seeing the problem. You seem to be going by your mental image of the area, and I'm looking at Google Maps.
