Hi there, my family and I are possibly relocating Oregon, in fact as I type this my husband is at his job interview.

While we are in town for a short time I would love to look around at a couple of areas that may be right for us and our kiddos.

We would be moving with our youngest two kiddos, middle schoolers, so the schools are important.

My husband would be working out of either Beaverton or possibly Hillsboro or Portland, he has a few options.

We would like a nice neighborhood with a community feel that we can settle in and let our kids finish out their school years. Or possibly something with a bit more property but still close to town. Bonus is there is water close by, we would be coming from 3 years in the desert and I miss the water so much!

We would be looking for 4-5 bedrooms, and somewhere around the 800k price range.

I was pretty interested in Sherwood and Beaverton, though I did read to stay in the southern part of Beaverton? Is there any areas to stay away from?

Thanks for your help!

Personally I think the nicer parts of Beaverton are the parts to the north of US-26 along the west hills. Those neighborhoods also zone to the most highly rated Beaverton schools, mostly because they are the most affluent.

A lot of those areas like Bethany aren’t Beaverton but they are in the Beaverton school district.

There aren't any areas in Beaverton or Sherwood to stay away from. The schools in the Beaverton School District are excellent. I would use that as my first search criteria. It would be great if you can find something north of Highway 26.
