Nice pictures, Tiffany, it's great to finally see all these places you keep talking about! I like that one of Shore Acres alot. What is that, is it some big garden? I had never heard about it! Hey, that pic reminded me of the ones I had seen of Oregon Gardens. Have you ever been there? It looks really nice!

Sadly, i have not yet been to the Oregon Gardens! Isnt that awful!?!? I'll make it there someday!
Shore acres is really a great place, its not a large as OregonGardens, it actually started out as a private estate, in the early 1900s, then was eventually purchased by the state in 1942. unfortunatly, the original estate burned down 1921, then the second fell into disrepair and had to be razed... I believe though, (could be wrong) the garden house is the original gardners house, just restored. You can tour in seasons, and they rent it out, ive heard as a bed/breakfast too, but im not sure...anyhow, Shoreacres.net has some pics and infor...its a well worth it stop if youre out this way.

now, when i can get to it, i took a bunch of pics a few weeks ago, mostly of along the coastline, but theres a few on our way towards Bend. I dont think i got any actually past Sisters, and who knows if ANY turned out (i was taking pics of 3finger Jack as we were driving) but i'll get a disk soon and see if any are worth posting.

Tiff

sigh, well, I THINK Im glad you enjoyed them......Nanannies post made me feel like a horrid mother and worried now that ya'll might be pediphile stalkers so i tried to delete some, but ended up getting rid of them all, but now i dont know what the heck i did, if theyre still showing up, if just I cant view them now, if Ive made it to where i wont be able to post ANY pics again at all, or what? Confusion and dismay!

but yes, you should come check out Shore Acres. Its quite lovely.

Well... people are different. I see both sides. I don't post pictures of my kids online anymore (I used to when I used to keep a family blog), and I try not to use their names but sometimes I slip... but even their schools in the past have put pictures online and even their whole names online for the whole world to see... I was shocked when I found that. I just out of the blue googled their names one day to see if anything popped up and there they were!! Wow.

Ultimately in this age bit by bit we are all out here, or are going to be out here. Kinda freaky, huh.

My husband was laughing the other day - he was wondering about the future of the world when all the MySpace and Facebook and so on kids have grown up and are trying to lead more respectable, or at least professional lives - all that "social networking" junk is going to haunt them. There's no such thing as privacy anymore, really.

it is scary, i use a different name online, and try to be careful, but i guess my excitement of wanting to share some pics overrode what i usually do/dont do.
just curious, are they still showing up for others to view?

Allowing your children to have a wonderufl experience at the beach, hardly makes you a bad mother! How can that be??? No, please don't be too worried about all this ,tiffela74. They were beautiul pictures, and we thank you for sharing.

Yes, the pics are still showing. I think you have to contact the Administrator to get them removed, after a certain time has expired. If you are truly concerned, contact them.

They are so lovely, and it's a shame for you to take them down. I would be more worried about my child at school, and who they associate with than some random troll on CD.

Remember, the Administrator on here has our numbr so to speak. whenever we check pics or threads, the system is right there counting how many times it was viewed, how long we viewed it, and our IP number. Everything is built into the system. Thank Bill Gates. It's how these systems work.

Like I said, if you should have ANY trouble, I know the webmaster here can track the person down.

Please let yourself and your girls remember your time at the beach as a pleasant one.

We each of us, can be found on the internet, through public records, nespapers reports, birth, etc. And Google started this finding anyone, anyone's house, anywhere anytime. Everythiing is for sale. Been going on for years. Just a fast version of an old gum-shoe private investigator!

I'm sorry that something so wonderful turned out to be unsettling for you.

The Pics are wonderful! Don't worry about it to much. There are forums that would be bad to show kids pics, but I don't think this is one of them.

Tiffany

A friendly suggestion
I love your pictures but... as a policeman my advice would be never post any with children on the internet

With the information you have provided in posts on here... and some simple internet skills it would be very easy to find them

A mod or you can delete this thread.. sad.. but it is the world we live in and our "home" when expanded to include the world is defiantly NOT safe
