I am having trouble deciding where to move. Perhaps some of yous can help me decide.

I am into nature and into Pagan events and such. I enjoy camping and hiking and gardening. I am in school for culinary arts and love making healthy, natural and light flavored food as well as Japanese cuisines although I can make more than that. I am a very artsy person and prefer to take a bus or bike rather than a car. I love to read so libraries are important as well as museums and any other artsy-type events. I am very into the Japanese culture and wish to indulge myself more into it.

So those are the things I am into where do you think is best for me? Thank@

if you are needing Culinary to finish school in Oregon, Western Culinary is in Portland.

Don't know about Japanese culture but both towns have major Universities and from what I understand many students come to Oregon from Asian cultures to go to school.

Pagan will be a toss up as there is probably options in either direction.

Have you heard of Ashland? It may be worth looking into...

Good Luck!

I would choose Portland, of course I am being selfish wanting a fellow Buffalonian here. If you are drawn to Japanese Culture, We have the greatest Japanese Garden here. It is so beautiful anytime of year. There are many fine sushi and japanese resteraunt's here that put Kuni's on the strip to shame. You would be very impressed with the public transportation here in portland. And it is a very bike-active community. You are an hour from the mountain and an hour from the ocean. The neighborhoods are all unique in their own ways. It is a very laid back and down to earth town for the most part. Portland has the largest city park in the nation with loads of forest. It's truly amazing here.

Oh, by the way, OCOM is a school here in portland, they teach Eastern Medicine, like Shiatsu and things. I think with all you are looking for you'd have much better luck with a bigger city like Portland, and more job options too, as we have tons of great cuisine here. Portland is noted for it's many eccletic styles and fusions of great eats.
