Does anyone know what the best staes to live in to get state help and which states have the best schools for kids with Autism? How are the services in Oreagon?

My understanding is that the east coast states like Mass, NY and NJ are some of the top states for kids on the spectrum. I have an ASD kid and have an educational law attorney involved. I'm not impressed with Salem-Keizer's efforts with ASD kids.

There is the Austism school of Portland. I don't really know anything about it though. You can't really judge an entire state. You really need to look at individual school districts. A lot depends on the severity of the child. My kiddo is high functioning so she tends to get shafted.

I don't think there is any particular state help here...are you talking about if you qualify for medicaid?
