A flame by another name is a beacon of light. The developer that started this thread was digging at liberals looking for a place to live. I responded that the developers are here because they are scared due to the real estate crash and the nature of predatory lending, which is evidenced as the central banking act, the federal reserve, and the loosening of credit laws. I noted that many wars such as the Revolutionary War were fought over the Bank of England forcing their debit system upon America.

Accuracy;

This thread was started by Snb3. He is not a developer, but I will leave it to him to confirm what line of work he is in.

Wandering Minstrel, I believe you are well intentioned, and have a heart for mankind.
I would ask that you investigate individual intentions before assuming why they do what they do.

Money is not evil, it is the LOVE of it that opens the door to evil. Bankers facilitate a necessary contribution to the building of this nation and world.
Individuals will be judged for their actions.

I could not build beautiful homes in Southern Oregon without them, and most developer builders are using the services of the banking industry to provide lifestyles that people desire.

When did this get dug up again?

I started this thread, not as a dig as you put it, but as a valid question I had at the time as there were numerous threads re: liberals looking for like minded persons to live around. In addition, another forum I frequent (Cali-OC) has numerous threads about how closed minded OC conservatives are. Wondering why you consider this initial post to be a dig? I believe it is an appropriate followup question for those looking for a certain political neighborhood to live in. Its a simple question of "why?"

Where you got that I'm a developer is beyond me. I am not employed in anything that has to do with : finances & banking, real estates & loans, development & homebuilding. And I'm not sure where you were headed about the evils of the current real estate & lending situation. If anything, its an opportunity that many chose to take. As always, there are those who are responsible to educate themselves, check the facts and make good choices and those who don't. Its given me my first chance at building equity. I am thankful I was given the opportunities I had at the time. As it is now, regardless of my credit, I would not be able the afford the home I currently live in.
