Okay unemployment number was just announced today and Oregon is at 12.1% and is expected to go higher.

Have a job before you move.

I agree that Salem and Eugene fit the bill but they are not Southern or Central Oregon.

what is your opinion of someone receiving disability and such? I still think I can move there and get by and be happier than where Im at, but just getting different perspectives and all...........thanks

Do not think because you can do many jobs you will be able to find one or one that will support your family. You have to accept there are many, many more just like you who are competing for jobs that just are not there.

If you come out here, bring a plan. Bring money and lots of it to live on while you are job hunting. Unless you really have a super specialty, you will be jobless for a good long time. So far the descripition of what you and your husband can do to earn a living are totally worthless in this town at this time.

Sorry to be so harsh but you have a small baby. You have to be able to take care of it. Don't move here because you think you can find a job. Get a job before you move out here.
