Are there any affordable, say 1500 a month rent or so, with a good school and a clean, attractive (green) areas? looking for names of nice townhome rental units or single family neighborhoods, no investment areas or overrun with crime and grime please! THANKS!

What city are wanting?
if it is any city then you may want to look at Eugene or Salem.

Default St. Helens...

is where my hubby might be employed, depending where that is and what is there, might determine if we live in NW or SW portland...I do want some close by amnenites...Thank you LilyPad

Depends on how much house you need? For 1500 a month, you can get a very nice 2-bedroom townhome or even a house. There are too many options to list..so let us know what type of area you want: surburbs, close-in, city life, country life? Overall, Portland is a pretty safe place. To my knowledge, far east and some north areas are sketchy...but this should not be a difficult search for you.
