Hello All,

My sister and her husband would like to move to the southeastern Oregon region. As we are from Alturas, CA, it's like coming home for them.
I currently live in Anacortes, WA, so we are trying to do our footwork from a distance.
They are moving from Casa Grande, AZ and are looking for a small inexpensive rental near Lakeview / Adel area. They have a few small animals and are willing to move into a fixer upper and do the work for a small percentage of the rent. They are on a fixed income (Disability & SS) and can afford $500 a month.

Please contact me at:
Mod cutt

Thank you,
Philip

Are you still looking for rentals in Lakeview? There are several under $500.

Default Adel for a new life?

I have searched many small towns in Oregon, looking for the right one that I want to relocate to. Adel seems like my kind of town. Are there many affordable rentals there? What have you found? I don't need a job as i am also on disability...just need an quiet, affordable place to live. Are there housing units in the area does anyone know? Thanks!

I can tell you right now that there are NO rentals in Adel. Adel is a bump in the road with a small convenience store with odd hours, a gas station that doesn't open at all any more, and several farms.

You'll want to look at Paisley which has a trailer park (but you still need to travel to Lakeview for groceries,) or there might be something in Bly between Lakeview and Klamath Falls. North of Lakeview is high desert and farmland for 100+ miles, with the same problem of no rentals.

You might get lucky and find someone who has a trailer on their land to rent, but most of these situations I know about are reserved for farm hands and their families.

If you're set on the Lakeview area, then you're pretty much stuck with living in Lakeview, or dealing with a long drive into town.
