Hey ditchlights,

That's exactly what I'm seeking - my right location. Help me out with some advice.

I have several buddies in Eugene that like to go to Diablo's on the weekends. I personally have never cared for goin' clubbin', or been to this venue, but it seems to get a fair ammount of attention. Between school other endeavors, and the fact that I'm married, I am a total homebody. My idea of fun these day's is good beer, BBQ and music at the pad, with no pressing issues on my plate. Ahhh...the simple life!

But... The wife and I do like to go out to eat. So here are some of our favorites in Eugene and the surrounding areas:

Empire Buffet (Chinese American Buffet w/ all you can eat crab at dinner and limited sushi bar. $11/Dinner)

The Jail (About 5 pounds of food for $5. Similar to Yoshinoya Beef Bowl, if you have those where u live)

Ring of Fire (Tablecloth setting, killer Thai food, great service. $12-18)

Tin-Sing (In Junction City - our favorite sit down Chinese restaurant. The bomb eggrolls and Shrimp Chow Don. It's all good! $8-12)

Noho's Hawaiian Cafe (Good sized plates $8-12)

Steelhead Brewery (Good selection of brews and good grub $9-14)

BJ's (Great brew and killer Chicago style pizza and Clam Chowder)

PF Chang's (Nothing beats appetizer half price happy hour from 3-6PM)

Chapala's (Decent, basic Mexican Grub $8-12)

Jade Palace (Another good chinese outlet $8-12)

Mongolian Grill (River Road location. The ultimate select-your-own stir fry and let them cook it in front of you location $8-10)

Todd's Place (Breakfast joint. Stuffed hash browns. Loaded down plate! $7-12)

There are tons of good eateries in the area. These are just off the top of my head. There are several higher end restaurants if you desire, as well.
