Sandy, Corvallis or Eugene. Those were my first thoughts, too.

Just throwing stuff out here: One of the smaller mountain towns, like Wemme, ZigZag, Brightwood. But you don't like cold weather or snow, right? Seems like there are always a lot of younger kids who work up on the mountain at the ski lodge and lifts. Nix that if you don't like cold, snowy weather....

There's Astoria or even Lincoln City. All of the coastal cities have an older demo I think. Older than you, anyway ~

But the music scene...you might have to go to either Eugene or Portland to find any clubs.

There's always my fav suggestion, Hood River. I love that town. About an hour and a half away from Portland.

What kind of music do you like? This "alternative" newspaper usually has a lot of info on the Portland music scene..you may be able to find some musical direction in there.

Sometimes when Portland gets a big snow or ice, McMinnville still has mild weather.

Sticky: Coming to Oregon? Check these links for FAQ s before posting

Perhaps this link will be useful, if you didn't already see it.

If I were you, I'd consider Silverton or Corvallis in particular, or some suburb of Portland.
