I purchased a house in "Deltona" a couple years back, but I am not really sure if it actually IS Deltona...

I know this sounds stupid, but I am a bit confused...

When you get off the highway (exit 109) and you head east on Doyle Rd. towards Deltona, you see a sign that says "Enterprise est. 18XX" (forget the date) and you NEVER see a Deltona sign until you start heading north...

When you come south on 415, you pass a sign around Ft. Smith Blvd. saying Deltona, then another sign by the Wal Mart saying Osteen 2 miles... when you head down 415 and turn down Doyle road, you NEVER see a Deltona sign except again, when you head only a few yards north down any crossroad...

When you look up the city limits of Deltona, FL, you see that the city limits are north of Doyle Rd.

If I live SOUTH of Doyle road, closer to the highway, do I actually live in Deltona, or Enterprise?

My address says Deltona, my utilities are from Deltona, and like the saying goes... if it looks like a cow, smells like a cow, and moo's like a cow... its a cow, I am just double checking to see if it is not just a fat horse with a deep neeeeh (horse sound)...

Also, maybe because Enterprise is an Unincorporated Community there is no addresses for Businesses or Residents there... I have no idea...

Thanks in advance for any clarification, though its not like I will lose any sleep over it or feel any different about where I live, just something that has been bugging me for a while and just thought I would bring it up

Yes, the signs can be confusing. Deltona wraps around Enterprise and some parts of Osteen.

Are you registered to vote in Deltona? If you are, then you live in the City of Deltona.

Here's a city commission district map--doesn't show streets but I think those are available somewhere on the Deltona City website. (
City of Deltona, Florida: Official City Government Web Site )

City of Deltona, Florida: Commission District Map

Near the bottom of the map you can see I-4 and the Dirksen/Doyle road exit and how Doyle snakes through Deltona, Enterprise and Osteen.

Hope this helps.
