Is anyone familiar with this area?

I am looking at Oviedo Town Centre apartments and they are reasonably priced but looking on Google maps it looks like they are just next to a set of low rent projects???

Opinions on this area would be greatly appreciated!

The town centre apartments were developed for low income families but it's still a very good complex. The apartments are very nice, new and well kept, the crime rate is very low, and it's districted to some of the best schools in metro Orlando. Its also walking distance to the Oviedo gymnasium and aquatic facility which is state of the art.

The area is really far out of the way and driving through the historic downtown Oviedo is hell. Most overly complicated intersection in the country - if there was a list it would be #1.

you can easily access the Oviedo Town Centre apartments by taking Mitchell Hammock just passed 434 to the next light at Oviedo Blvd, turn left onto Oviedo Blvd and you'll be at the apartments in seconds, completely avoiding the historic downtown area and it's traffic. Only minutes from the 417.

these are low income apartments?

The prices seem high for low income families.
Wonder what that means for my income...

What is the point of that Division St.? I finally turned on it the other day and saw what seemed like one miles of parking with nothing around. Just weeds and brush. Handicapped spots a long way from any apartments or city buildings. Was the intention to add a bunch of stuff up and down that street?

Oviedo's town center is planned to be built there, it was delayed but should be built eventually.

Oviedo is a wonderful city. I have lived in the area for 36 years. Some of the best schools in the area, the people are friendly, and the world famous chickens are ornery occasionally. Oviedo has several events through the year. If you have kids and they into cub/boy scouts/girl scouts they packs and troops are very active. The nice part is you feel like your in the country, but 20 minutes you are at some pretty good shopping areas, and about 30/40 minutes east you are at the beach.
