I would keep this cat, but my husband does not want her because she is psychotic. We have had both her and her brother practically since birth (2 weeks old). The boy is very affectionate, whereas the girl is skittish and acts like people are out to get her. We have never done anything to harm her, so I know she has to have mental problems. However, she's not aggressive toward us in the least. Also, they have been indoor cats their whole lives, so I know she hasn't encountered an abusive human. I'm wary of advertising her on craigslist, because I've been told that free animals on there can easily end up as food for large pet snakes, and I don't want to advertise her on there as a pet that costs money since nobody will pay for a cat (especially one like this) since cats are a dime a dozen. I don't want to take her to the animal shelter and risk her being euthanized. Does anybody have any other suggestions? My husband says I need to do something to find her a home or else one day he will just leave with her and come back without her, whatever that entails.

You're pretty much SOL. Drop her off at the front of the humane society in a crate and say a prayer. If she still has her claws, you could just set her free in a forest.

Relinquishing Your Pet to the SPCA of Central Florida

That would be your best bet. The Orlando Humance Society is a no-kill shelter for adoptable pets, and according to that page will not turn away any pet in need of shelter. Because she's not aggressive, only skittish, they may be able to help her adjust.
