Those are alright and it isnt too far from tourist stuff......but it isnt that far from Oakridge road or Texas Ave. either which aren't the nicest areas of Orlando....i see some shady looking people always walking by the 7-11 when i drive by there .....but the apartments do look nice though.......i live a couple miles from there

I used to live around the corner from there. I was raised down the street off of Oakridge Rd. The place has become scum. Don't go to the 7-11 right there. Scummy people hang out there and the people working there , if that is what you call it, are worthless. Go down Oakridge to Festival bay mall, that is nice, for now. Or Millenum mall is close to you. Some of it is pricey but they are trying to keep it clean. If you go down American Blvd, be careful where you stop. The apartments there are nice and new, but of course I think they built some affordable housing in there somewhere, so you know what that attracts.

Default bad area

I used to live in a nice, secure apartment complex right there. I wouldn't leave the complex at night for anything - and was even a little nervous during the day, as well. Texas and Americana is one of the busiest crime ridden intersections in the Orlando area.......I would try to go somewhere else!

Millenia blvd looks beautiful to people not familiar with the area.

Oak ridge (right down the street) is pure ghetto. I wouldnt live there.

I just moved to the Millenia area. All I have to say is that it has potential. We just bought a new townhome by Centex just off JYP and Millenia blvd. Though I drive to the Dr. Phillips Publix because the one down the street is pure ghetto. The Walgreens is even worse. I just put up the ghetto force field and avoid the area(s). They are supposed to be building the Gardens at Millenia, a huge mixed-use area across the street which will help revitalize the area...hopefully. I'm currently at Northbridge which I just found out is section 8 housing, which explains a LOT of what I've seen. The only reason why we are there waiting for our house to be built is because we can get out of our lease at anytime.

I lived in Heritage on Millenia for 6 months, and I agree with this post 100%. Rent yourself a home in College Park, Thornton Park or Winter Park for the same price! That's what we did. Much more space, and muuuuucccchhh nicer people.

I myself am leaving this god-forsaken town in the next 12 months. Orlando is not fit for living.
