Has anyone noticed this season we seem to have a lot more fall foliage than in the past? These last couple weeks I have been noticing a lot and it will only get more noticeable as these freezes continue, especially after tonight when its going to be in the 20s. Besides the palms and most oaks, it seems like the rest of the trees are either red, yellow, orange, or brownish.

If you see any cool sights of colorful trees take a picture and post it on here so we can have a showcase of fall foliage of metro Orlando. Its nothing compared to up north but its still noticeable here. Even though many people like to claim that change of seasons in FL is non existent.

Along I4 between Disney and 27 there are some really nice patches of fall colors.

Also along the lakes in front of Florida Hospitals main campus there are nice trees. I wish I knew how to post pics so I could share.

I may take a drive along SR 46 between Sanford and Mt. Dora to see if any nices patches along the hills out there.

We were out near Dade City on Saturday and you could really see it.
I've seen a lot in town here also.

It's not as bright and beautiful as the New England but I'll take it!!!!

I've noticed it all over Lake Mary! I was so happy to see it b/c I didn't make it up north this fall. It seems strange, but it's very noticeable. I'd love to see some pics or rural areas.

Great idea! It's very easy to post pics here. Go to the bottom of the page after you list your post and click on Manage attachments. After you upload your pics to your pc, you can search for the ones you'd like to post. Click browse and go to your pictures and chose the ones you'd like to post.

Nope, Longwood/Lake Mary Rd. Marham Woods Rd would be another good place.

LOL…. now Florida is going to be a new location for leaf peppers who missed their chance up north!! Kind of nice to have some colorful bougainvillea thrown for an accent color! And my poinsettias are just now starting to turn red. I was hoping I wouldn't have to rake leaves here but alas…. they are falling like crazy now. First the carpet of acorns came down but that's good for the critters, and now down come the leaves. We have to be very careful not to accidentally have a leaf get blown into a neighbor's yard, heaven forbid, last year we had to actually compare leaves to show they weren't even ours, can you believe that? So watch out for the leaf police. And I have to get up and blow out the gutters so we don't have a forest sprout up from there..

How do you all deal with leaves? Do you bag them up and put them by the road to be picked up on trash day, or do you just keep running the mower over them and leave the cuttings?
