Help! I’m relocating to downtown Orlando in February from NH for a job promotion and need help finding a 3-4 Bedroom home with 2 baths and 2 car garage, in a safe neighborhood, with good schools for our three young children - that can work with our credit. My husband and I have excellent landlord references (4 years in our current home), stable income with a significant increase coming in February, and I have been with my company for 5 years.
My husband injured his back, could not work, had surgery, rounds of injections, rehab and ultimately was found to be disabled. He waited nearly a year for his SSI Disability to start, therefore his credit is poor due to very limited income and caring for our newborn twins. My credit is good and the last 2-3 years show on time payments made every month and I have been paying off the couple older balances here and there when I have the extra money.
My company is paying for the movers, but we can not find a home and I am getting stressed out– Craigslist and other sites are full of scammers. We are looking to spend under $1300 per month.

It would help to know what part of Orlando you'll be working in. I know of a few houses in Clermont that would fit your needs, but it's not going to work if you'll be commuting to Lake mary daily.

I am going to be working at Lucerne Towers in Downtown Orlando. A 35 minute commute or less would be great!

DM- Direct message
OP- Original poster

You can find homes on Craigslist. It does have scammers, but there are many legit rentals. I'd stick to Seminole County if I were you. I'm sure you could find something in that price range. Do you also have that amount for a deposit? Some areas I'd try would be Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, Winter Springs, Longwood and Lake Mary.

Are you looking for a rental or maybe rent to own? A house, condo or apartment? What size lot?
