my familys from michigan and we hate it here, we're looking for the warmer weather and a change. we are firm middle class, with a income of around $100,000 a year. would kissimmee be a nice area? are the schools reasonable? we are a younger family. thank you

Well, for 100K a year you can do a lot better than Kissimmee. You might try Windermere, Winter Park, Lake Mary or Longwood.

I would agree Kissimmee is not the best area, with an income of $100K look into Windermere,Dr.Phillips,Winter Garden or Seminole county.

Not Kissimmee. That's to vacation. Dr Phillips and Windermere are much better choices.

Glad to hear you are relocating. I'm from Michigan and planning to relocate to Orlando area as well. The Kissimmee are stuck out to me because it had a lot of reasonably priced homes for rent. I too have a good income and could surely afford any suburb, but want the most bang for my buck you know. Even though Windermere and other areas are probably more upscale, I'm sure Kissimmee has some nice areas too. I've found an equal amount of people on this site say to stay away from Kiss due to the high crime and tourist traffic. Another large group of people believe that it's a great place! You just have to know that it is crime everywhere. Even where you currently live now. Hopefully you will get to visit there soon. I will be traveling there at the first of April to view neighborhoods in Kiss, D.Phillips, Windermere etc. I'm looking forward to the new change. Came across this site about 2months ago and it has been an excellent inside source on city info. Good luck to ya!

I hate when ppl try to tell you to move to the "in" places to live. I'm sure other areas aren't as bad as ppl make them out to be.
