My wife told me it's going to be $450 for my car which has never been registered in the state of Fl. Oddly enough, her car was first registered there, been registered out of state for four years, but they only wanted $28 for hers.

No, it's only the initial plate fee or what ever they are calling it. Annually, it's only around $50-60.

You're DREAMING or just coming from Southern GA if you think the moving truck and gas is going to be that low. Those trucks get about 6 mpg, regardless of what the rental places will try to tell you. Less if you're towing a car. Plan on over $1000 for the truck and over $500 for fuel.

I just spent $167.88 to renew two cars last week. So annually plan on closer to $85 per year, per car.
