My boyfriend is moving from CT to FL in March to go to School at ARTI and I might be going with him. We are currently in search of an apartment that's not too far from the school - no more than 15 min if possible?

We are white, in our late 20's and have no children. I have done alot of research on what neighborhoods to avoid. We would like a 1-2 bedroom and want to spend no more than $1200 including utilities. Can anyone guide us into a good neighborhood and possibly a apartment complex to look into? The millenia area looks decent, but I am finding that the better complexes are much more expensive. The affordable ones have roaches, crime, bad neighbors and management. Should we look further west?

Also what do utilities run per month on a 700-800 sq ft apt?

I used to live in Park Central, very close to the Millenia Mall and it was really nice and had many amenities in the community. It is gated, has security cameras that you can see on the TV in your apartment, has a restaurant/bar and indoor basketball court, too. I played ball with some ex-NBA players and some rap stars there too. The area around it is not that good but you won't have any problems. Things could have changed, but when I was there it was one of the best complexes in Orlando.
