Reasons for leaving.....
The traffic---Hello??? Did you think there would be no traffic in the city??? Learn the back roads.
Hurricanes---Now we all know that those were planned now don't we?
Mean People--Did you take the time to get to know your neighbors, or did you expect them to cater to you?
High Housing market--supply and demand--you're not the only one that wants to move here!!!
The heat/humidity--Go look up "tropics" or "tropical" in the dictionary and get back to me.
No cultural events---Look them up....they are there.....
Nothing to do---you're lazy and don't take the time to go and find things to do.
Alligators---Hello??? They were here 1st
Bugs----get over it...every state has bugs

Ever notice.......
People want the reckless driving, redlight running and speeding to stop, but when they get pulled over the cops should be going after the "real" criminals?

People want the crime to stop but when their relative/friend gets busted, they claim they are such good people and wouldn't hurt a fly. Let's slap them on the wrists....the cops have nothing better to do than harrass innocent people.

The people who say there are no friendly people in Florida are the ones that don't have time to talk to a cashier, teller or a waitress?

The people who say there is no culture in Orlando cry when the city leaders say that the taxpayers are gonna have to cough up the $$$ to get the facilities built to accomodate such culture?

The people who complain about the schools don't have time to volunteer or even go to a PTA meeting?

The people who don't take time to know their neighbors complain when nobody checks on them after a major storm?

Captnemo, I enjoyed reading your post. You make some very good points, that hold quite true around here. Some people make impulsive moves looking at a place through rose colored glasses. Or, others expect that things will stay exactly as they were in the '60's. I think that about sums up the points you nicely made.
