My husband has to go to the Osceola Heritage Park at Silver Spur Lane and we need a good hotel for him to stay 1 night. Can anyone recommend anything? He can drive a bit if necessary but would prefer to stay as close as he can while the hotel still being clean and safe in a decent area.

thanks,

Tris

On 192 east of 535 (vineland rd) most of the hotels left are pretty junky and the neighborhood is going downhill fast,192 used to be where people stayed when they went to Disney before Disney had 30 different hotels or there were hundreds of hotels in the lake Buena Vista area or International Drive closer to Universal and Sea World. If you want a decent hotel on 192 to stay closer to the Kissimmee area stay west of 535 as the area gets better. One hotel that I definitely would suggest is the Comfort Suites Maingate East, pretty new, clean, excellent complimentary breakfast, easily the best hotel in the area.I stayed there several times for some very good rates, but unfortunately their prices aren't as low as they used to be since people started realizing how good it is.

Great thank you so much. Do you or anyone else know anything about the Hampton Inn on Calypso Cay way? It had been booked but some rooms just opened up.
