Howard is leaving regardless of a lock-out....I got a sense about it...kinda like when Shaq was in Orlando

Revived: With just under 12 hours to go before the trade deadline, I am now more than 100% convinced that today will be the day the Magic (are forced to) trade Dwight Howard. Feel free to add your trade talk, but I'm sick of it all really. See ya Dwight, thanks for the whole I'm not going to opt out of my final year because I want to stay here for the rest of this season and next BS. I fell for it and even called someone to tell them the "good news" but then I realized that 1) you didn't put it in writing yet so why even believe you and 2) that option would allow you to just walk at the end of next year without NJ/Brooklyn having to gut their team to acquire you. Nice try, you're as good as gone at this point.

What a difference a few hours make when you're this close to the deadline. If this: Dwight Howard Admits Mistakes Plans To Opt In - RealGM Wiretap is true, it's the most amazing change of heart I've seen. Dwight, sign the ETO waiver and stay with us through the end of the NEXT season, you still have time be Superman!!

Yep, he has to sign that waiver and then we can hope to get a good free agent to compliment him this offseason. It's a shame we didn't get Monta Ellis, but I am not sure he was the answer either. Sure, is a volume scorer and can create his own shots, but is he a closer? We already have the firepower to be in every game until the end, but we don't have a closer. When we made a championship run, Rashard Lewis hit daggers in big games. That entire playoff run, he would hit these 3-pointers with seconds left in the game to seal the deal. Of course, his game completely fell off a year later somehow, but regardless. We don't have a guy like that right now. Jameer is going to have to be the man as he has been stepping it up lately. Hopefully this Dwight waiver will re-ignite his game.
