Restaurant Row (Sand Lake Rd. between Apopka-Vineland and I-4) is named for the plethora of restaurants located in the shopping centers. Everything from upscale to quick service, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, deli, etc.

I-Drive and Lake Buena Vista have a ton of options as well, but you'll be amongst tourists.

Downtown Winter Park and Thornton Park has a lot of nice places but I'm not as familiar with that area. Really, there are restaurants basically on every corner of Orlando. You might want to try Urbanspoon for a place that you find appealing near you.

This is my go-to resource for restaurant ratings and has led me to every local find there is to be found. Anything 3 stars or below is usually not worth checking out. 3.5 stars your mileage may vary, sometimes I like some of the places with 3.5 stars, sometimes not. 4 stars is definitely worth trying and almost always delivers. 4.5 stars means the place is excellent and the best around. Generally you can't get higher than 4.5 stars because there is almost always a few people that have a bad experience somewhere and drag a place down. 5 stars is almost unattainable save for the most exceptional restaurants. Even in NYC there are hardly any that could average that score.
