We are thinking of moving to Winter Springs from Oklahoma City. I have 2 children. They are 12 and 5. My husband is looking for a job before we up and move. He is hoping to get a job in managment at Publix. How is the crime rate around this area? Can anyone tell me about apartments also. I mainly want safe. We love the heat so I'm not worried about that. We plan to move in the next 6 months. Thank you for your help.

Some areas of Winter Springs are nice and others not so nice. The area by 17/92 and 434 is not that great. The area by Tuscawilla and 434 is very nice. Why did you choose Winter Springs?

Winter Springs has some pretty upscale areas and some far from that. Seems the East side is the nicest. I'm going to have a nice 3/2 townhome come available in a few weeks there rents should be in the $1300 range.

if your husband is hoping to get a job with Publx, you may end up in Polk County. Publix is based in Lakeland, Florida. If you have lived in a somewhat rural environment in OK, you might like it, and the housing would most likely be cheaper. You'd be basically halfway between Orlando and Tampa.
