Hello,

My wife and I are attempting to find an area to move to that meets some location criteria. It may not be possible, and this location may not exist, but I thought I'd throw it out to the community here. Right now we live in the goldenrod area. My wife works in lake mary (40-45 minute commute!), and I attend ucf as a grad student and we attend services in downtown orlando. Is there such an area that would allow us access to downtown orlando (less than 30 minutes) while also reducing the communte to lake mary to 20 minutes or so? Winter Springs seemed to be the obvious choice, but there is no real direct way to get to downtown same problem with ovideo as well. The winter park area seems like it would work, but the price ranges in that area are a little cost prohibitive (denning rd. area). Any other thoughts? Have we missed some areas or have any wrong information?

The 417 south to the 408 west into downtown Orlando is a pretty direct trip from Oviedo, no traffic lights and highway speeds the entire way.

I would recommend Debary. I used to work in Winter Park and it never took me more than 30 minutes to get to work on the 417. It is just over the river from Lake Mary - 5 minutes maybe. Some great home prices in Debary right now. Debary Country Club and Springview both have great homes with great prices. I have lived there for two years now and like it alot. Taxes and HOA fees are very reasonable.

Look to rent first in Winter Park as you search out properties and the community. Maitland is also a great option just north of Winter Park or College Park.
